Weight might play a part here. If Audi can shed 100-150kgs off the weight of the C7 RS6 compared to the old C6 RS6 then there is no real need for the same 571hp.

I'm just saying it's a possibility.

I always thought that an S6 would compete with 550i and E550, and the RS6 was for the M5 and E63 AMG?

Thats exactly how it is, the S6 will be slightly better than the 550i/e550 and the RS6 slightly better than the M5/e63amg.

I'm really interested in this new S6 especially since Audi have made this new A6 lighter. Also I'm hearing a 4.0T unit so should be great

The car looks good. Conservative, understated styling with a touch of flair. It's clean and safe.

But it doesn't provoke any emotion. Audi TT/R8/A5 are still my favorite Audi cars. What works of art

What to speek about the RS6 C7 if there isn't even yet the RS4 B8?
Anyway for me TWO things kill Audi: long overhangs and AWD. But for me there is now ONE exception: the Audi A3 Concept.
