Just buy it from BimmerCode website where it points you to the links for various stores from a few different countries. Worst case have someone buy it for you and get it with them to India next time they are coming there or someone is coming there. Until then just live with the car as is.
Thanks Sam, luckily one of the forum members has agreed to get it from there and mail it to me.

Living with the car as it is is a bit difficult once you see what everyone here is up to ;-) ;-)

Trust me I know that what people are up to there i wonder how you even want to drive such a big car on the roads of Mumbai unless your driving is only on marine drive or the sea link bridge lol.

Glad you could find someone to ship it. I was going to offer that to you but I thought that buying it here and then shipping it there might not be feasible for you as it may come out to around the same cost of buying it there for 12k INR.

Has anyone from the US purchased the OBDMX+? When I tried the link that someone posted and it took me to the Amazon Canada site. It says that this item does not ship to your selected location.

I'd like to automatically activate the fog lights at startup but haven't found that as an option. Am I missing it?

Nope - not missing it. Just that it is not possible as yet in Bimmercode or at all for that matter unless someone comes out with the programming for it.

Anyone know if any updates are coming. I'm hoping we can select a drive mode default soon. I like the Adaptive setting but every time I select it or any other other setting from the default Comfort I also have to lower the drive height (Air Suspension).

I followed the instructions from one of the previous post, but can't seem to get it to work (ASS feature). I was able to follow steps 1-4, but step 5 says to save the changes. How do you save the changes?

Super easy.

1. Download the app
2. Insert the OBD reader
3. Turn car on and push the engine start button 3 times (display will acknowledge diagnostic mode)
4. Open the app and connect to your OBD reader
5. Select the item you want to code and save the change
6. Shut off the car and then start the engine to confirm the change

After you select the option you want and change it in step 5, tap the back arrow (<) in the upper left corner to go back one screen. You'll then see the word "Code" in the upper right corner. Tap Code and it will save the changes to the car. You'll see a progress bar as it's uploading (aka coding or saving) your change. This is all based on the IOS version of the App.

I just had a software update at the dealer today, which required me to re-code my options (including ASS function and Tailgate settings) when I got home tonight. Coding was quick, simple and successful.

Thanks Jgc650i !!! I just tried what you instructed and it works. Now I just need to explore and see what else is available for the G05.

Bimmercode and Indian G05

I have the 30d X Line X5, built in Jan 2019 and delivered to me on 21 May 2019.

When I hooked up the car to Bimmercode, the most exciting bits (Head Unit and Instrument Cluster) aren't supported, please see the attachment, leading me to wonder why this is so.

Could it be that I am running the 11-2018 software? There's no way for me to check as Connected Drive isn't available in India (slow clap there) and when I asked my Genius (he's quite a well informed guy), he said it was the 03-2019 software, but I have my doubts.

Is there any way to check the software version in the absence of Connected Drive? I am unable to see anything in the settings.

Please help!!!!

I don't have connected drive also working but accidentally found that version is also listed under bluetooth information.

Did also some coding with bimmercode. I think all of the ECU's are not supported yet. Quite minimal features to code for G05:
https://bimmercode.app/cars/g05/
Don't see anything from instrument cluster or headunit

Which version of X5 and idrive do you have ?
3 to 5 blinker can be coded with BimmerCode
Heated steering wheel with heated seat, have not seen it yet. Same for cornering light.

How can the blinker be coded via Bimmercode? i did not see that option a month ago when I was doing the other coding, unless Bimmercode added it in the last 2weeks.

Go into: BDC_01, Then "Expert Mode" > 3068 > BLINKZYKLEN_ANZAHL_TIPP > value 0x04 for 5 blinks

Depending on your istep level you might not have it neither. That's how I coded it.

Found it ?
