Placed my fully loaded X6 order on December 1st. Finally got a production date of April 14th yesterday. What now?

Should the dealer be able to give me a VIN so I can track? Is that what I need to be able to interact with the Genius line?

Also, with a production date of April 14, when should I expect delivery?

I ordered on February 18th, got a production week on February 25th, and almost another week later (March 4th) I got a production date and VIN assigned. If you've got a production date I think you should have a VIN.

My build date is March 17th. No idea when to expect delivery. I'm also exploring potential South Carolina pickup at Performance Center. My client advisor asked me to give three dates in end of March/all of April.

You will not get a VIN until the Production Begins stage. Once you reach that stage, usually about 2 weeks before you production date, then a VIN will be assigned and parts ordered/allocated. Keep in mind it does not mean that physical assembly has begun.

My dealer told me that this would likely add a few weeks to my delivery date, so I passed.

Following as well for a 22 X5 M50i build. I placed an order and signed off on 3/17. Status online shows Production scheduled but no date. I called the BMW phone extension and they said production is scheduled for Week 16 (April 17-24). I’m curious when it would be delivered—aka production time to delivery. Since these are build at SC plant, I am located in Midwest.

I have the same build week and mine just moved to scheduled for production yesterday. Seems like when it actually gets to production things move fast.
