Definitions around the shipping steps in My Garage

Can someone enlighten me what the difference is between "dispatched from factory" and "in transit"?

I have a vehicle that was done a couple weeks ago and sat at "waiting carrier assignment" for 15 agonizing days. It finally moved at the end of last week to "dispatched from factory" but the genius line and my sales agent have not been helpful in telling me when it might arrive at the dealership. It's an East Coast delivery so I know it won't be delivered by train or boat.

Any thoughts? Thanks!

Your CA should have a fairly good idea as to how long it takes. I'm sure some folks in your area will chime in but I think to Boston it is taking 3 days or so.
