When will BMW hit the 200K EV Mark killing the Fed. Tax Credit

Wondering if anyone has an educated guess about the what time here in the US BMW will hit the 200,000 vehicles sold and see the $7500 tax credit vaporize??

The last forecast I saw was somewhere in 2023. As of the 12/31/2021 they had 63,210 to go.

Seems like only a small # to hit with 1/2 of X5's being 45e's and now the ix & i4's being made.

It is not the number produced, it is the number sold in the US. Last year they sold a little over 60k X5's.

BMW sold 60k X5s in 2021 (https://carfigures.com/us-market-brand/bmw/x5). Given the shift to 45e production in 2022, it does seem likely that 2023 will be the last full year for the tax credit.
