bmw fs X6 lease excess mileage problem

Just leased my 2022 X6 40i on 2/26, and while signing my paper lease my excess mileage charge under #11 Excessive wear and use reads rate of 25 cents per mile over my 30,000 miles (attached)

My lease just popped up under my BMWFS online account and all items are correct (security deposit, monthly and etc) but my over mileage is now at 30c per mile.

BMW is claiming they have my lease in their system as 30c and I do have a paper copy from 2/26 in my hands with 25c. BMW FS online giving me a hard time changing it back to 0.25c

Any experience with that, since its driving me crazy

Thanks !

I have read that leases are not official until BMWFS approves them, in other words what the dealer prepares can be wrong/changed when they receive it. I personally don't believe that is accurate since the dealer is acting as an agent for BMWFS when you do the signing so whatever is on the lease documents at the time of signing should be valid.

I would ask to speak to a supervisor and if they insist it is 30 cents then have them explain why given your document shows 25 cents.

As an aside, a few years ago someone signed a lease and the dealer screwed up and put a decimal in there so it read .25 cents per mile. The person contacted BMWFS and they said they couldn't put that into their system but would send a letter verifying that they agree the excess amount is only .25 cents per mile. He received the letter so he was good to go.

Thanks!
I did that over the phone and nice CR actually was surprised himself since in their system it's showing as 25 and 30 cents in 2 different spots and he mentioned that as of February they only had M, 7, X7 and i8 with 30c and all other models 25c

As a side note I went to bmwusa website yesterday and looks like they updated March 2022 offers for x6 lease with 30c , and I do Remeber clearly when my x6 popped under my online account for the first 2-3 days I had 25c and after they did website upgrade ( I believe 7-9 days ago) it's reversed all my active leases to 30c for My 2021 X5 and my x6 in question. They changed my x5 back to 25 but not x6.

If it's on the lease contract and you do end up going over mileage, they'd have a pretty hard time making $0.30/mi stick.

Reading your post made me go back and do a comparison of my paperwork and what was online. I leased my X6 slightly over a year ago. Both my paperwork and online reflect 30 cents per mile over my allotted 30k. Sounds like someone made a mistake on the paperwork and BMWFS caught it. Personally, I wouldn't worry about it too much unless you're thinking you're going to go over. At the same time don't let the mileage restriction prevent you from enjoying your machine.
