Would be nice if they offered them in hyper silver or something other than orbit grey or gloss black.

if you're not looking to buy rims too, I'd move on these before they run out of stock. I looked around and tirerack had the cheapest price by far. |

I understand your point on the hassle, and cost of swapping tires. however, unless you're swapping rims in your garage, the same hassle applies. $400 for a tire swap and balance is absurd. there are plenty of reputable tire shops that can do the same service for less. I've been swapping winter tires on high performance cars for a long time and never had issues at my tire shop. just some food for thought. |

Winter wheel/tire options for F95 X5M and F96 X6M?
Hey Nick — many thx for confirming that this winter package worked for you.
Question: the package description includes the advisory: "for Front Axle only" — did you experience any clearance problems with your rears? N.B. The factory supplied 809M wheel widths are: 10.5/11.5-inch F/R —while the quoted winter package 808M wheels are: 10.5-inch. Best Regards, Rich |

Did you order them or actually pick them up? I ordered mine a few weeks ago, but I thought they weren't available yet.

I ordered them on Thursday of this week and they are supposed to be available for me to pick up on Monday. I will be having them mounted the first week of November so I will let you guys know. Apparently there is a guide at the dealership parts department that lists the X5M comp and what wheels you need for winters and these were on the list and matched his list provided by BMW.

I got these last year for my X6, and I never had winter tires on anything I've driven. A tremendous difference even over all season. I have the 21" summer performance, and once the temp drops they are pretty tough to stick to the road. My wife's G05 (not pictured here) has the 20" all season, and compared to these winter tires there is a big difference too. Now I need a set for her X5.

winter wheels
I currently have a 2011 X5M with 20 inch wheels, I bought a set of winter wheels that were a whole size smaller (19) so I could get better winter tires. So far, I have not been able to get an answer if I can do the same thing with the new X5M Comp (2021) that is on order. Ideally, I would like to buy a set of 20 inch wheels and not have different sizes for the front and back. Like my 2011. Anyone have any additional information?

I have also seen 809M and 818Ms (the standard comp wheels in 21/22") with winter tyres but the tyres aren't BMW Branded and are Hankook's as it looks as though they are the only one's making Winters in the 315/30/22 size. Edit: There are also some Pirelli's in that size! Not sure a 20" wheel will fit the front calipers but you never know! Last edited by schaeffs888; 09-30-2020 at 04:38 PM.. Reason: Additional Info |

Now available
The winter sets are now available from US BMW dealers. I picked mine up today. Be sure to order them soon before they run out of inventory.
