When you design something, you design the interconnections to handle the load. The X5 45e's internal wiring and cooling circuits are designed around a maximum current of 16A...so, there's no reasonable way to increase the charging rate. Think of it as installing a 60W lightbulb into the lamp...even though the lamp might support a bigger bulb, it doesn't draw more. If you tried to install a 300W light bulb in it, it's likely that the socket and maybe the wiring would overheat, as it was not designed for it. Nor, does a 60W lightbulb draw more power than that, even though the circuit was designed to handle say 15A, or 15*120=1800W available in a common 15A circuit in the USA. The vehicle and EVSE are smarter, the EVSE says it has X amps available, and then the vehicle won't ever draw more than that.

Well this is new on 07.2021. Note mines an x3 without remote software update

After the update AC background is white during the daytime and turns gray(darker) at night. Since I'm overseas that's the main feature I'm using.

Where does this show in iDrive on your iDrive 7 "Lite" vehicle?

Interesting. Do you have anything regarding updates under Car -> General Settings -> Remote Software Update (toward the bottom) or anything new in the MyBMW App?

I’m curious if they’re expanding automatic updates to the Lite cars to only cover iDrive.

It is possible this is limited purely to the apps that show under the globe preset, but seems odd since those already automatically updated.
