What is I-Level (factory)?

I just got the VIN of my other X5 and while decoding the VIN it shows:

I-Level(factory) S18A-20-07-530

What does this mean?

Thank you so much. Does that mean I have the 07/2020.53 iDrive system? I believe 07/2020.54 is the latest.

There's actually the -560 patch available.

However, patch releases are just that, small tiny bug fixes, no new features.

If you have 20-07-530 you are good feature wise

It means you will have 07/2020.30 at delivery. Yes, cars often/usually ship with not the latest software — factory can't keep up with updates while still maintaining throughput.

Just to add to the good feedback to date.

The factory i-level sticks with the car, and is not updated with an i-step upgrade.

I upgraded from 07/2020.525 to 07/2020.560 and noticed a very specific and welcome bug-fix. On 525 the car would, on certain roads, change the accepted speed limit to 80-100mph. aSLA would change the cars speed to match that +5mph. Very dangerous and only seemed to do it on roads with speed cameras, so a double whammy!

Happy to report that 560 fixes that rather nasty bug.

Isn't that a feature that you can set ?
I have a setting where I can say how much it can add for the suggested speed.
So for example if the signs say 100 I can say it should always add +5 (correction of car dial VS actual speed).
Maybe this was set before hand and is now reset.
You can also set a second speed adjustment under 60Km/h (don't know what it will be for Miles )

Let me clarify - the posted speed limit was 30mph, and the car tried to accelerate to 105 mph!

Unlike BMW, in the US the Audi system can be set to automatically adjust the speed based on speed limit signs, and did so fairly immediately. My Q7 once read a hand-lettered 30 mph construction zone sign as 80. Hilarity ensued.

My Q7 had aSLA built in it for US use. I just don't get this why in the world Audi got approved to have aSLA for US market and BMW did not?!

Oooh yes I can remember the horror.
Also when driving 120km/h on a highway and he thinks he sees a 50km/h it sure slows down quickly then
Luckily BMW has a better system in place
