275/35R22 + 315/30R22 - Pirelli versus Continental

I'm curious as to how many people are running Pirelli P Zero versus Continental PremiumContact 6 on their 22" rims?

Reason being that I'm upgrading from 20" to 22" and want to get tyres that still lean towards low road noise and a smooth ride rather than outright sports performance.

Even better, has anyone run both and has a view on comfort/noise between the two brands?

My X5 was delivered with 22" Continentals. I had hoped for the Pirelli P Zero as I had been familiar with them. I'm not disappointed with the Continentals as both performance and wear after 15,000km thus far has measured equally as well. I have also been impressed with the comfort and maybe more so with the Continentals. No noise issue that I've come across.

My winter setup is 20" staggered wrapped in the Michelin PA5 SUV. I moved away from the Pirelli Ice and Snow and really happy with the change over to Michelin. I've also got the PA4's on the M2 and Ice2 on the 230.

Many thanks X54th! Living in Melbourne, Australia means we don't have to worry about the winter/summer tyre thing so very interesting to hear how you have both a 20" and a 22" setup for that. I'm scoping out different sources to get a view on the PZ4 versus the Conti's and it seems most people are happy with either. I have PZ4's on my current 20" rims and they've been great. I'll have to flip a coin to decide!
