So all the travel and comfort stuff will work from the older models that required you to purchase a base unit and then the accessories, we just don't need the base unit (or you can buy the mercedes or landrover parts also)
But the previous holder is for the ipad 4th generation.
The iPad 6th generation is smaller because it has a thinner bezel.
So will that still work,

I am not talking about what fits an ipad, just that the older accessories fit the socket in the new car, ipad hold only will fit the ipad it was actually made to fit.

So I don't need to buy their case?
I can use my own case?

Travel & Comfort system table with drink holder
51 95 2 449 252

FYI For the new 2019 X5 G05 you don’t need additional headrest mounting accessory although it will work if you want to mount it there.

So if I am understanding this correctly, the connection that in the past was on the back of the headrest is the same connection that is now embedded in the back of the seat?? So any of the older version back of the headrest accessories will fit into the new back of seat connection??

That part should hold any tablet, I believe. Msrp 144. According to the pdf on page one this is something that plugs in to the integrated female part on the seat back
I dont see how this part can hold an ipad (especially varying sizes of ipads), it doesn't look like the 'clip' adjusts to fit different sizes...that why I think the cases exist. I assume the case clips into the opening of this product.

The tablet base holder that fits in the back of the seat does adjust to hold different size devices. The key is that each BMW case has small indents in the side of the case that match up with the clamping points of the tablet holder. This is why you cannot use any case. The lack of indents on non-BMW cases means the device will slide out the first time you hit a corner.

So if I'm reading it correctly, we need to order 2 things to hold a tablet. 1) The "Safety Case Holder" (51 95 2 408 224) and 2) the "Safety Case" for the iPad Air 2 (51 95 2 420 906)...is that correct?
Yes, each safety case is designed to work with the safety case holder so you need both.

Great list. I’m still hoping for a cargo net system. We had this on our previous X5 and loved it. It kept smaller items from rolling around in the back.

if that's true, i think two tables is the better value. part 51 95 2 449 252

that's 133 msrp can can serve a lot of functions. my kids can handle moving the tablet if it falls down. they don't need to be totally comatose back there.

Found these on Amazon. Part numbers look right. Have not compared prices at other vendors. They are called mats but they do look like they have a raised lip like a liner.

Here is a listing for the cargo liner. This vendor is actually a BMW dealer, BMW of Silver Spring, MD. Their prices are competitive.

Here's the roof rack rails: https://www.amazon.com/BMW-Genuine-F.../dp/B004SND8EA

Anyone know if a net is available to enclose that cubbyhole on right side of cargo area? Looks like one's missing.

That's my question too. It's odd that BMW got rid of it and it was super useful.

Does anyone know if a cargo netting is available for the G05 X5?

I can’t find one anywhere. I have a X5 on order so I don’t know if it automatically comes with one. I’m guessing not.

You still may want the headrest connector as the seat connector puts the table too low to be comfortable for any teenager in the back.

I had a net with my 45e but never used it.

Rubber Mat Set

Here in the UK I have just purchased (christmas treat for the car) a set of genuine rubber mats (front & rear) part No 51.47.2.458.552 and 553 from my local dealer, who was advertising on ebay, which with shipping came to £99.95p. As you would expect they fit excellent and quality very good. So deals to be done, don't be put off by list price.

Was also looking for luggae compartment mat and found this one on ebay at 1/6th of official price, it arrived shipped from Poland by UPS in 3 days and again was excellent fit and very good quality.

This is the same issue I'm having. With a carseat the table won't even fold down nicely because it sits too low.
