2022 40i sound when breaking
Hi everyone, I am an (almost) happy owner of a 2022 xDrive40i X5 X-Line, regular brakes. The car has around 12k miles on it.
The issue is with breaking, specifically the noise that comes with it. This happens when the car comes to a full stop while breaking and immediately after letting go of the break. Took it back to the dealer and was told that it's a common problem and the proposed solution was to "clean" the pads by breaking while going at 70 mph or so. Well, it doesn't work. Does anyone know what this could be? Example of the sound below. To reproduce, I just inched forward several times. https://on.soundcloud.com/wvkWC Many thanks! Mine does the same. 16,000 miles and no change.
Seems to also really grab just before coming to a complete stop and the nose of the car takes a dive Let fl the brake once stopped and brakes make a noisy grind. Told it’s normal too. My 2016 did not do this |
