Rear seat recall on G05s

Just a little heads up to anyone waiting for their G05s: My car has been sitting at the final processing site for few days so I reached out to see what's going on. Turned out, BMW issued some type of new recall for rear seat from and this is holding up my order. Couldn't get much information from BMW yet, but will investigate it further.

If it is the one with the rear middle seat top tether anchor point then it started in June or July.

Yeah that one I was thinking about at first, but according to BMW rep, its a seat frame recall that was just issued. Also the car production is 09/20 so that June recall should have been already addressed during production.

Must be something very new. First I am hearing about it. If they provide you with a recall number please share. I am curious if all G05/F95 will be effected or certain build dates.

Yeah nothing on the NHTSA website yet. Don't know if it makes any difference but what was your order, 5 seat or 7 seat?

Yeah nothing yet anywhere. But its 45e so 5seater.
I have a feeling that in reality, its a hybrid recall being masked as something else for now, even though the car is 10/20 prod.

I hope not, my 45e with the 10/20 build date is at the dealer waiting for me to take delivery and I am just waiting on the November numbers. When I checked with my SA yesterday, he said there was no recall/stop sale preventing me to take delivery...

Well, I'll take that over a battery or powertrain issue. Worse comes to worse, they can just swap out the rear seat, right? Maybe they have finally figured out what was causing the wrinkles

This "recall" came this morning and wasn't there last night. So let's see what happens.

Something like this could be limited to specific seats if it's just a bad weld. What was your leather option?

Yeah it might be. Black Marino.
Maybe they found a reason for all the wrinkles.

i am curious if this is limited to 45e and has something to do with that specific vehicle and not G05/F95 as a whole.
