Wasnt there a member here that had a very annoying rattle in his G05 and the end result after several attempts was that he needed some additional welding under the rear seats? Wonder if it could be related...

Oh yeah. Correct. Never was totally fixed but it improved a lot for him.

Just got a call from the dealer for this recall. It came on yesterday morning on their system. My X5 45e had production date of October 12 (week 42). It has the comfort seats (with massage) in Coffee (VERNASCA LEATHER).

I was going to take delivery on Monday. No news yet on what the fix will be.

This is what I have from their system:
Stop Sale
Stop Code: STOP020917
Defect Code: [blank]
Defect Description: "B410320 Delivery Stop: Welding Seam of the Rear Seat Cross Member"
Remedy Status: [blank]

Btw, if you check mybmw for recalls, it doesn't show this yet, probably because their public system hasn't been updated yet ("Database last updated on Oct 29, 2020").

Well, it turns out that my car has been released for delivery. The dealership folks reported that this is a minor issue and that BMW said it can be addressed later on.

My 45e disappeared again from the UK recall site. In the response I see the status changed to Closed.
As it's on the ship to Europe I don't expect they investigated it on my car?
