Instrument Cluster Screen Protector

I finally got around to installing the instrument cluster screen protector I have. Initially I was sent a nav screen one which I already have, then a few weeks ago I got the proper one shipped. Installation is easy like all screen protectors, I have one bubble (it's an air pocket) that will go away eventually FYI. The glass is way more reflective as you can see but it works and that's what matters

I have bigger concerns right now due in part to my stupidity and something not working properly. I'll fill her up tomorrow

Wow that's really reflective. The glare would bother me after a while. They didn't have a matt version? I ended up putting matt covers on my Ducati's display because of the glare but those are obviously out in the full solar blaze.

Nope, it's glass so they don't make a matte version. The funny part is my display now looks way clearer with the protector. I'll try it for a week and give my thoughts.

For what's it's worth the identical one on my nav screen hasn't caused any issues since I installed it in January

I've got the one for my center display. Definitely makes the image 'crisper' and looks more like an iPhone screen (in a good way). No noticeable impact from the glare.

Is the purpose of the instrument cluster to keep it nice in the event it's scratched while cleaning? It does look nicer either way.

yes more or less. I get found from my G01 X3 how the instrument panel is a PITA to clean and gets scratched easily so I wanted protection this time

So I found your review on Amazon for the wrong screen protector. Did you order the right one from a different seller?

Do you still notice the reflection from your instrument cluster screen protector after driving with it for a while ?

I purchased the same one, but would like to hear your feed back before installing it.

not really, it doesn't bother me at all while driving so I'm keeping it on. I will say cleaning the cluster is now super easy.

Sort of, it's still pretty reflective but you get used to it so I really haven't even noticed that's it's installed

Does anyone have any experience with the screen protector in a hot car? How does it hold up?

It is made out of tampered glass, so should not be affected by high heat !?

I have a glass screen for my center display that I'm not going to install since I am leasing my X5. If anyone wants it I will sell it for what I paid plus shipping. I got one of the deals for $12.99 before they more than doubled the price. It is still in the original box with instructions and installation tools. Send me a PM if interested.

As mentioned above heat doesn't cause issues. I had one on your X3's center screen during the lovely Texas summers of 100°F+ weather and never had an issue
