EU spec rear indicator light seems different from the NA ones?

The EU spec ones seems to have two different coloured horizontal "bars"
across. Only the bottom one is flashing when turning.
While the NA ones only have one entire bar across(as long as I remember)
Here's a pic I found on youtube, clearing showing there is two "bars".

I am pretty sure in NA, the indicator is not like that.

Can anybody confirm?

Taillight part number in US and "rest of world" is different, so very well possible...

I have German X5 upper bar is brake light in red, lower bar is turn signal in orange. Around it is tail light.
