AC not cooling
Hi guys, picked up my car in January. Today it's getting hot, 70 f. For the first time I use the cold AC, however even I set AC to low, it's still not cooling. But it has no problem to blow hot air. Does anyone know if the AC is broken that I should take it to a dealership? Thanks!

Make sure your (now hidden) red/blue "wheel" is on blue for colder air.

I had a thread with the same exact problem. Ive yet to bring it to the dealer. The nuts and bolts of the AC system work as it is capable of blowing out ice cold air. Knowing next to nothing about the inner workings it almost appears to me that whatever sensor reports the interior temp to the AC isn’t working. Or whatever receives that input isn’t working.

Go here --> https://www.bmwusa.com/owners-manuals.html and plug in your VIN, agree to the three statements and click the Accept button. Then at the top right of the next page, click "Index A-Z" and then select "Air Conditioning" and read through that page and see if it helps. If it does, it beats taking it to the dealer. . |
