Where can I read about what Comfort and Sport Plus modes actually offer?

Comfort Plus didn't offer anything noticeable when I tested it. I only posted the codes to see if it made any difference to other suspension setups.

If you use idrive to flip between the modes I think it shows a graphic of each mode change, e.g. throttle response, dampening etc.

I wouldnt do ambient colours next. Maybe try Video in Motion?

Thank you for the guidance..... not sure how I feel about video in motion.... Don't think I want it.... I will leave the ambient colours for now!!

Thanks again.

I guess we still don't have anything firmed up on the default suspension level setting? I always drive in height level 2 (level 3 being normal height).

Also, I was thinking, simply enabling comfort plus mode in MGU isn't enough, thats just text in a software menu - surely there are some settings to enable in BDC-BODY to actually make changes to the actual car in this mode?

Same with Sport Plus?

Thank you for this. I will check these settings.

What do the numbers mean 7083 next to BDC and 3E52 next to HU_MGU?

Thank you again

Crafted Clarity Help Needed

Does anyone know if there any codes related to the crystal shifter. I installed after-market but only the P lights, not the X.

Does anyone know of a code setting that might turn it on?

Thanks

There was another thread about retrofitting the crystal gear selector. When you look at the parts diagram there's a different part number for the control panel if you have the crystal controls. I suspect that the difference would be the hardware required to light up the X on the selector.

The answer is you need to VO Code 4A2. Hardware is same.

That's good news. Wonder why they have different part numbers then. VO coding is very easy. Just need to setup Esys.

Different part numbers because of different buttons for glass and/or park assist.

Coded mine today and it works great!!

Can someone please clarify what I need to activate I order to get the M Logo to appear at the top of my display.

I tried activating the Logo entry in DKombi but nothing happens.

Thanks in advance.

Does anybody know the coding parameters to remove ALL of the iDrive GUI restrictions for when the car is in motion? For example, when the car is in motion, you can't use the keyboard to enter in a new navigation destination (or any keyboard functions in iDrive). Or, if you you want to manipulate the videos in the Drive Recorder section (play, pause, delete, etc) you can only do so when the vehicle is stopped. There are several other examples of these iDrive GUI restrictions while driving as well.

I would at least like to have the choice to operate all iDrive functions, whether the vehicle is in motion or not....

Do we have the codes for automatic braking when backing up or while parking in front/rear if the car comes close to an object.

I think there was an old thread on this, i couldn't find that. Below codes were mentioned in that

ACSM_5
1B2D
a_pdc_fp aktiv

I tried this, however after I coded, i got the Chassis Stabilization error on the idrive, did not revert it back yet

Thanks for the thread details ...

Looks like it is still not working for US region cars with the above parameters. I thought additional coding was required to enable a menu item iDrive that would allow us to select to auto-brake or not

Auto braking is a standard feature in many cars now, not sure what BMW is thinking to not add this feature for US spec car.

I see the following codes. Some will be irrelevant so just compare and record with what you have, code the differences, and test:

[1B2D]
a_pdc: aktiv [01]
a_pdc_fp: aktiv [01]
apdc_activation: initwert [00]
apdc_generation: gen_1 [01]

auto_pdc: aktiv [01]
these codes are profile related so almost certainly not needed (my choices in idrive) :

pia_default_auto_pdc: aktiv [01]

This feature does come standard on some US spec car models. I have it standard on my X7 40i. I could not tell you what the specific coding parameters are though...

Hi ifr,

I checked all the values on my car with regards to PDC and only found this entry different then to the ones provided.

a_pdc_fp: nicht_aktiv [00]

Does this enables auto braking for front?

Thanks
