So brought the x5 in for tire swap.

Can you tell what I'm talking about before reading below? If you can then we're on the same page.

Now I don't think this is a dealbreaker for anybody but for me it bothers me a bit, as we all know they make black wheel weights. Its just for a vehicle of this detail the dealership should be at the same level. Now I did go to a different dealer the first go around when I had the summers dismounted and the winters mounted and they did use black wheel weights. Again I know this is a first world problem but it does bother me.

Maybe when I go back I will have them fix this yes I know it's crazy.

my OEM 741M also had this "issue" but it never stuck out whenever I peered at them from a distance whether approaching or walking away from the vehicle. I've since switched to matte black aftermarket wheels and the installer had just run out of black weights when he did mine. I honestly still don't catch them whenever I look at my wheels.

I agree should be black weights as well but it doesn't bother me much. Do all 4 tires fit in the back when you do the swap?

Well the rears are massive, all 3 for one with the seat down not the most practical but it works for a quick swap.

Not that it's right, but I believe the wheel weight color is silver from the factory.
And no it doesn't bother me.

stuff that like bothers me as well but you can fix it yourself pretty quick.. after your next wash, clean the wheels well and perhaps leave car in garage overnight for them to fully dry.. get some masking tape/paper and some black spray paint and touch up the wheel weights.. many tire shops do exactly this on their silver wheel weights... paint them black and have them ready for install on clients black wheels.

In my area it was hard to find a tire repair shop that used stick on weights on the inner side of rim. Most refuse because they claim that don't stick and fly off. I finally find a guy in BFE Illinios that knows how to balance wheels/tires using those weights and WHAT DOES HE DO?
He used blue RTV or Permatex BLUE sealant to make sure the weights stay stuck to wheels. Yeah, no one will see those big blobs of blue on silver wheels

I normally pick-up on stuff like this, but didn't notice it until you zoomed in. 50/50 on if it bothers me, would be nice to have black wheel weights but relatively unnoticeable.

My local shop uses a giant sharpie (industrial size with a 3/8"+ tip) to "paint" silver wheel weights before installation. I would recommend this path as it seems durable and will not peel like tape.

It looks like your wheels were balanced with the newer 3M composite weights which I am not sure are available in anything other than grey.

I never noticed them on mine till you started this thread....now that's all I notice. Sharpie time....I guess they come in handy to change the path of a hurricane or cure my OCD.
