I'll be curious to know when you get scheduled for PCD. My car took 5 weeks to produce and the earliest PCD option was 4 weeks later. I didn't want the car to just sit around in SC for 4 weeks so I took dealership delivery!

Thanks. I'll keep you posted. How long from ordering at the dealership before you received any contact from BMW? I want to ensure the dealership is being upfront about their allocation. I am being told to 7-9 weeks.

My buying process was seamless (aside from dealing with an incompetent CA). I placed the order and a week later had a production number. I was able to track the progress from there!

I still don't fully understand the allocation process. It was never brought up to me. Do some dealers have more allocation than others?

That's my understanding. They told me it was their last allocation and only had it because person changed their mind prior to it going into production so I was able to change the specs.

There is pipeline for allocation for dealers. Usually the dealer will remove their build and replace with your build.

We got $2,000 under MSRP combined pricing and military discount, plus any rebates or incentives at time of delivery, which I don't anticipate having any in this market.
