On the X5 it is 36 monthly payments of £30 which is £1080 in total. Makes it seem good value on what you paid! It also includes the first MOT and the 4th year map upgrade. It doesn't save you a lot but it fixes your costs going forward and you can go to any dealer.
This is the same deal I went for as well

I asked about it when buying the car and was told not to bother with it by the BMW Rep because it wasn't much better value!

I then received an email about 6 weeks after purchasing the car, and when I looked into it I saved over £400 or so on just the services costs, and this includes periodic checks and may updates etc too.

It covers the first 2 services, 2 map updates (whenever you like), the first MOT, and seasonal checks I believe.....

For £30 a month it wasn't a bad deal - unless I don't get stung with any other surprises when I go in for service!! Not due for another year or so yet anyways

What I like about it is you can get any unused funds transferred, my original service pack was for a F90 M5 and when the X5 arrives I will get a new service pack for it but at a reduced cost. You also don't have to ring around your local dealers to get the best price as it's fixed.
Interestingly when I booked my M5 in for it's running in service I had £540 in the fund and the dealer said there was enough funds for the service but I couldn't get the RIS under £630 with any dealer I rang.

You don't get an invoice with this system so I am not sure what they charged. I requested one as I wanted to have one for my records but all I got was an invoice but with no charges on it.

Yep outrageous, I didn't buy the service pack on mine back in April 2019 as it could be added later but they then removed it and added service plans. The pack was £450 from memory 3 years 38,000 miles. The service plan costs £1080 over 3 years. I went to a BMW Indy Specialist in Reading who quoted £250 for the first service. I opted for while you wait and part way through they came over and said micro filters are like new so recommend not changing them. Final bill £160. I emailed BMW a few days later and they confirmed service details had been uploaded and were on there system.

Good input guys. I'm indeed going to ask Sytner why they did charge 30 more than the recommended price. I didn't even use a courtesy car nor did I have to use chauffeurs to drop me back home.
@speuk does that work for a car on finance? As mentioned, they might make your life hell if you don't use the "bmw" service?

I've had my car for just over a year now, unfortunately only done 3,500 miles in it. iDrive tells me it's not due an Engine Oil service until another 9,300 miles or Jul 2021, Vehicle check service at 22,000 miles or Jul 2023 and Brake fluid service in Jul 2022.
Is it safe to assume the car knows best and to follow the dates as suggested?

Furthermore, when I purchased this car from BMW (Williams) were not offering service plans therefore I didn't take one out, does anyone know if they are offering service plans now and what they may look like?

Cheers

You can negotiate.

They started off at £529 for me and came down to £380.

Which is still extortion, but hey... haggle

Not sure re cars on finance so best check with finance company. I went to Grosvenor Motor Company in Reading because they are reasonably local, only work on BMW's and said they sync the car service history with BMW's central system so every dealer can see the service history and I verified this with BMW a few days after the service. In hindsight I'm kicking myself for not paying for the service inclusive pack when I bought it as I would have got two services out of it but Grosvenor pricing works out about the same.

Just to add, I've had my run flat repaired in literally 10 minutes by the local garage; pulled the wheel, found the screw, removed the screw, inserted the patch thing, topped up the air and mounted back the wheel.

£10. I gave them £20, as they saved me hundreds for 2 new tyres.

Yep I had a few run flats repaired on my F15s. I'm on 22" non run flats with the G05.
