I just ordered some Michelin PS4S for my car so I will have direct comparison between those and the Pzeros that I currently have.

Hi Alan, can you ask BMW to put on PS4S instead of the PZERO when the car is still in production?

Just ordered my X6MC, and was wondering if I could do that.

My current X5MC rides stiff even in comfort mode. Its fine for most roads but when you drive on just broken pavement or those raised edges that goes across the entire lane you def. feel it. Coming from an M3 Competition its still softer overall but not as much as you would imagine. To me this iteration feels stiffer than the last gen F85 even with 22"s all around. I wonder if the Pirelli PZeros have anything to do with it being more stiff compared to cars with Michelin tires. I am tempted to try the Michelin tires but its sort of a waste of the Pirellis

No you can not do that from my understanding. Which tires gets installed is completely random at the factory. Its not even tide to your vin/window sticker.

You might be able to work out a deal with your dealer to make them do the swap assuming they have several X5M/X6M's on the lot with the same wheels.

I posted this in the other thread and he seems to prefer softer cars overall. Also the car he test drove has Michelin PS4S installed which is the better riding tire when compared to the Pzeros.

My opinion my F85 on 22" wheels rode slightly better than my F95 Comp on 21/22" wheels.

How does F95 X5 M Competition ride compare to F85 X5 M ride? I personally find the ride of F85 X5 M (21" wheels) just perfect for daily driving in regular/comfort mode.

Just test drove an x5m with pirellis and the ride was much better than I expected.
Previously when I tried out the x3m I thought the ride was horrible even worse than an m3.

This x5m is a bit harsher than the previous f85, but it's not that bad.
One bad thing I would point out is that the suv reads a lot of the imperfections of the road which could make some feel that the suspension is harsh.

Does that mean constantly moving the steering wheel around to keep the truck tracking between the lines at highway speeds (80 mph and higher)? Because I hate that in my 18 X5M

Your toe alignment could be out of spec. I've seen that with other cars. I have no idea if X5s have a systemic problem or if could just be the alignment. Something to consider.

I've only had my 2021 for a couple of weeks, but find the ride quality absolutely fine and way better than I was expecting particularly after some of the emotional reviews on YouTube (there is one where the guy literally can't stop whining about it for 80% of the review).

Maybe having the PS4s helps a lot but even living in NYC where the roads are absolute garbage, the ride is totally fine in my opinion.

One of the main reasons I got the X5M instead of the X3M was the consistent complaint about the X3M ride. Very happy with my decision.

PS4S def helps compared to the Pzeros (i had both). Since you are in NY do you ever take the Manhattan bridge (heading back into BK)? Thats where i find my car the harshest due to those metal expansion joints. Plus the road looks like its been patched over one too many times making it complete shit to drive on.

So funny you say that; basically have only driven that bridge like 3 times in the last 15 years, but one of those occasions was last week with the X5MC and yes I know exactly the part you are talking about! Jarring. But I think even a Cadillac would have an issue on that part!
