Excellent, then you should be set. For my test the CarPlay directions seem to work just like iDrive, it even shows the various lanes and which one to be in in the HUD.

I almost always have the cruise with steering/lane control enabled so haven't noticed any changes to lane keeping in the little I used it.

And you mentioned it only works with Apple Maps not Google Maps (both via CarPlay)?

It only works with Apple Maps currently, not google or Waze

This would seem to indicate that it's now in Apple control, so it could support down the line

That is correct from my testing. The directions from Apple Maps (not the map itself) showed in the HUD but nothing from Google Maps although iDrove knew that CarPlay was handling navigation since the iDrive map disappeared from the IC and control display.

My guess is that Google and Waze have not updated their apps to support the new Carplay HUD APIs.

Seems to be the case
FYI, I get the beta versions of Waze through TestFlight, and they also don't work in the HUD, so it's probably not around the corner

Yes, just got updated to 2020/07.25 and Google Maps does appear in the HUD when using Android Auto

Just got mine back today and software version is 07.2020.30 - android auto is not showing up - anyone know how to get that working?

You shouldn't need to but did you try updating Apps and Services?

Yes I tried that. No luck. Also I don't see Spotify either.

Rest of the apps are good. I cannot subscribe to drive recorder as it shows unavailable.

Let it sit overnight so it does a sleep reset and hopefully things will be there in the morning. If they still aren’t you may want to call connected drive.

Thank you! So I went ahead and did a hard reset to revert everything back to factory settings. This in turn fixed all the issues. Finally got Android Auto, Spotify and the drive recorder all working.

Has anyone had an issue with remote start no longer appearing as an option in the connected app after this update?

Since the update it only gives me an option to "ventilate now", as before it had a "start engine now" option

I am not sure if this is related to the update, or some coding that I did afterwords (though I have no idea how it could be related to the coding)

Ventilate now is the same function as remote start engine ! Once you are in 7/2020 update this function description in IOS connected app charges to this new description

Confirmed that it's not the same
It ventilated but did not turn on engine and blow cold air at all

Did you check the box to allow the engine to be started? That gets cleared out during the update process so you need to do that in order for the engine to be started. Check it in the Climate menu.

I'm on 3/2020 version but it sounds like I should have a few more apps available to me but can't seem to get them to appear. I tried "updating services" a couple times and was only able to get the automatic windows app to appear after 2 times. Should I be doing something else?
