Hi,

Every time I hope in the car shows up a notification with a suggested destination, which I don't want. I have unchecked the option about suggestions at the start of a journey (I think that's the terminology) but it still suggests a destination - even more infuriating is that it suggests an address 5 houses away as my home address...
Is there anywhere else to turn it off? Is it iDrive or Carplay driven? Car is an MY21 only about a month old and I don't believe there to be any updated software..

Stupid thing might keep moving my destination - will have to buy the whole suburb...

Try disabling Siri Suggestions for the MyBMW app or the older one BMW Connected. They could be coming in via CarPlay

Have you resolved the issue? , my 2021 x5 has the exact same issue.
"Suggested destinations" and "add a stop" appears on display, occurs multiple times during a drive. Very annoying that now I just give it a destination and even then idrive still "suggests a destination", usually it is "Home". Deleted "Home" and rebooted system, still the same. BMW genius unable to resolve issue. I manage by toggling out of the screen to get to a different menu like media or such, however the next right or left turn of the car triggers the "destination" pop up.

Sorry I completely forgot about this and haven't been in the car much due to a local lockdown.

Pretty sure this is the only setting I turned off to stop the suggested destinations.

Nav --> Settings --> Configure Services --> Learning Navigation

Other than that I can't remember doing anything else

Are you sure that it’s not —> Learn Route, the bottom option on the list? The description for Learning Navigation says that the navigation system uses the vehicle sensors to improve map accuracy, which doesn’t sound like it has anything to do with suggesting destinations. However, Learn Route says that it learns your route and destinations, and suggests them. Also, unchecking Learn Route says they system will no longer suggest destinations or memorize preferred routes.

Thnx to both of you for the suggestions! Tongue in cheek obviously, I deselected both options and will try it out. I really don't want to go to the dealer for something that appears on the surface to be "user error".

That sounds more correct - my memory is clearly not good enough to remember from my garage to my computer

Followup:

Tried the posted suggestions, and the extremely frequent notification pop ups for "add a stop" or "add as destination" are less frequent for sure. Tolerable now! I still get a pop up for going "home" and an occasional "add a stop" pop up. Unless there is a software error or corruption with the latest update, apparently there is no way to totally disengage the nav. Thanks so much for the suggestions, I can certainly manage the way the nav operates now. I may have to place a destination to the nearest marijuana lounge however since it is legal here!

Resurrecting this.

Wife’s G05 came back from some bumper repairs and every time she starts the car it asks whether or not she wants to go to Jupiter FL!? We are in CT!!

Can’t figure it out and the advice in this post doesn’t seem to work.

Any ideas welcome.
