2024 Pricing

Hey guys,

Curious to get feedback here - if 2025s can be had at say 8% off. At what point should 24s be on a fire sale due to an older MY brand new car. I was kinda hoping that maybe someone could pick up a 24 this month at 12-15% off.

Realistic or crazy?

It’s highly dependent upon what actual model and trim spec you’re looking at, and where. These discounts are not being seen in my neck of the woods.

I would say not realistic. You may find a deal here and there but overall probably 10% or so. Keep in mind that in many, if not most, areas the MY25 discounts are probably in the 5% or less for the 40i/M60i. 50e's are MSRP more often than not.

Thanks. Also the MY 24 has better buy rates. I guess I may have to come back to planet earth but here’s to trying. If I can get a good deal on an LCI I may pull the trigger

It definitely doesn't hurt to try, they may just want to get rid of it as the MY25's come in. It really is dealer, location, etc. dependent. In the past we have seen some dealers discount new MY orders more than existing old MY stock. Some hold onto them trying to get as much out of them as possible. Personally I thin they may lose in the end due ot carrying charges but they may know what they are doing.

Definitely going to. To me, seeing what bmw is doing with the fully new models is borderline depressing. I bet the x3 is gonna be a mirror image to the plastic cheap 5 series now. This LCI x5 might be the last blend that’s worth grabbing for a while. I put 0 faith in the redo coming up in 2 years.

You're going to cast a very wide net and be willing to ship to NY I'd suspect. Caredge has a search feature showing days at the dealer and if accurate would be the best way to identify who you may be able to get a deal on if it's been there >300 days.

You can always try and get that discount, which might be hard. If they have a '24 on the lot, or another lot that is your best chance especially at the end of the month.

Striking out so far. Made a few calls and believe it or not one told me they would discount 25s more than 24s!

That doesn't surprise me. That a sign of strong demand - someone will walk in and want to buy that 24 on the spot. The 25s would be custom orders that you wait for. I would expect to pay less if I have to wait for something to be delivered vs it just be right there and ready.

Yes I would agree with that but some of these shops have 25s on the lot already.
Bmw programs do not help tho. They have special financing and 39m lease program on the 24s and not 25s

Told you some do that. Doesn't seems to make sense from our point of view but they may have a valid reason we haven't considered.

I got a better deal on a custom 2025 order than the dealer would give me on an in-stock 2024. Placed an order with 9.58% dealer discount plus a $4k Navy Federal Credit Union Rebate for a total of 14.52% off MSRP. It pays to shop around and do the homework. They have room, just need to find someone who is willing to appreciate the additional volume over max profit.

Hang on to that one, they are very rare. Usually BMW does not let the ones that develop a period out into the world.

Would you mind explaining how the navy federal rebate works? We have navy federal but don't use many of the benefits other than the lower interest rates.

There is no NFCU discount. BMW offers a military discount and, if you qualify, you can get the certificate via TrueCar or idMe.

NFCU is a BMW partner in offering the domestic military incentive certificate. As long as you have been a member for 60 days you will qualify for it. To print the certificate you can go to Navy Federal's car buying site hosted by TrueCar. They use Plaid to verify your NFCU's credentials and then you can print your certificate.

Got it. I have Navy Federal accounts but we are not military. Does that still qualify?

That’s what I thought but the offer does seem to be available to all navy federal members. We have accounts with them but are not military.

You are misunderstanding it. The incentive is BMW's domestic military incentive. NFCU is a partner and using their car buying site is one of the ways to get the certificate. As long as you are NFCU members you qualify for the incentive.
