Decided to go 25 in the rear and moved the 18 to the front. Rear is perfect for my taste, the front could have easily taken a 20 mm spacer but I am not going to buy another set for 2mm. The 12mm ones I had in the front will go for sale.

Has anyone noticed any increased rock chips due to these spacers? The front spacers on my f80 m3 caused all sorts of chips to my rear fenders but I suspect that was due to the flares and width.

Not personally.
I have ran aggressive setup on all my cars and I don't have problem with rock chips to rear fender.
I guess LA road is bad, yet clean of gravels.

what is the best set up for a non air suspension 40i non sports package on 20' stock rims

If I use these spacers, I'd need a new set of bolts?

Thanks

You want your bolts to be inserted into the hubs far enough to provide the designed support, so if you put in a spacer, you want a bolt that much longer.

Wheels clearing while stopped and full lock has no direct relationship to what might happen if you were at speed, in a turn, and hit a significant bump.

With the wheel sticking out further, it is to be expected that you might end up with more stone chips from the wheels throwing things, mostly when turning.

I recommend 12/20.

r33_RGSport What do you recommend for a 23 X5 M50i with 742M wheels? It has DHP. I'm looking for mainly flush, not aggressive, however. Thanks!

12/15 if you are not lowered.
15/20 if you are lowered.

Thanks! Would this apply to an 23 X7 M60i. I just ordered one of those - saw some reviews on here and really like the look and the new upgraded interior. Thanks!

No, X7 is different setup.
I need to know what are the wheel and tire sizes.

Any issues with rubbing with 18/25mm?

I have the same alloys - but just wondered will there be any issues down the line.

Do you have any pics with it being on load level? I assume you have air suspension

No issues with rubbing at all. I am actually thinking moving to 22.5 front and 30 rear.
I am on air suspension.
Here is one at loading height.

This may be a stupid question, but is the spacer visible when mounted with the 742s? The reason I ask is that I see that there are both black and silver available, and I'd like to know if it even matters.

Also, I was dead set on a 12/15mm setup, but now I'm leaning towards a 15/20mm, because I like the look better. Will this look funny, if I do not lower the car? It seems that many people lower it when using this size option.

Thanks in advance!

Your brake rotor is silver. So, silver spacer will match.
Unless if you have Carbon Ceramic Brake, which are not available on BMW SUV's.

Another thing, Black anodizing tends to fade if not treated correctly.
I've seen some that had chemical reactions against wheel cleaners.

Anyone have any issues with the wider stance in terms of tire wear or alignment specs being off after installing the spacers? Saw in the pro/con thread that some people were saying that tires wore uneven, etc. I was considering just the 12/15mm ones doesn’t seem like much to put the alignment off or cause excessive tire wear.

AFAIK, wheel spacer doesn't change alignment.
Uneven wear can be off alignment from beginning or tire pressure.
I never have problem with my cars with spacers or aftermarket wheels that are same spec as stock wheels with spacers.

Could you take some more pictures please? I have the same setup as you wheel and paint wise and ordered 12/15mm spacers. Most pictures on here seem to be 20 and 22inch setups and yours is one of the few 21inch.

I'll throw some pictures up when I install to help the thread as well.
