Reserved Mineral White X6 M60i - arriving soon!
I currently drive 2020 C63 S AMG coupe as daily and wanted to swap it out for a SUV/SAV.
I have been driving smaller sport sedan/coupe all my life, so getting SUV is a big change for me. Having two gas guzzler V8s in the garage (22 M5 Competition and AMG coupe), I also wanted something more fuel efficient and comfortable for daily driving. I originally placed an order for new X1, but BMW kept delaying my order. I was also reading some bad owner's review on the DCT in X1, so I decided to change my X1 order to X6 40i. I went to BMW dealer yesterday to place an order for X6 40i but few incoming X6 40i that I found on BMW website were already customer sold vehicles. I could custom order X6 40i but that means I have to wait another 2 months to get it. I was waiting 2 months already for the X1, and I was hoping to get new car before my DMV registration is due this July. While I was lost in thought, SA told me that they have couple of X6 M60i coming in this month. I had no intention of getting M60i as I was trying to get away from V8 engine, but my GF convinced me that I should spent more and just get that M60i. By the way, 22 M5 is my GF's daily, but I drive that car more than she does mileage wise since I drive the M5 exclusively on the weekend. Also, SA offered 2023 X6 M50i that they had on the lot at the invoice price, but I did not want to take model with outdated engine, exterior, and interior. The X6 M60i that I reserved is one with 22 inch M double spoke black wheel, Tacora Red interior, Fineline Black Wood trim, M Sport Pro, Parking Assistance, and Executive Package. I called BMW Genius today and confirmed that my car is supposed to arrive at San Bernardino hub this Friday. Hopefully, it will be processed quick there for next week’s arrival. It seems like there are a lot more Youtube videos on LCI X5/X6 40i than LCI X5/X6 M60i. Maybe not many people took delivery of M60i yet. Anyway, it will be interesting for me to drive and compare both de-tuned mild hybrid S68 and non-hybrid S63 engine in the M5 Competition. I will post some pics once I receive my new car! |

Congrats and get ready to enjoy (once you hit 300 miles and the horsepower limiter is removed, lol). I currently only have 40 miles on mine but came from an X6 M50i.
