Evaporator Replacement new vs old 2019 X5 40i xDrive

Hey everyone! Finally got the entire dash out and pulled the evap core out. The aluminum arms were bent in toward the body of the core. They are easy to bend so there is space like in the one I removed.

Do you think this is a defect whereas I should send the part back?

I am not sure what your question is. By arms do you mean tubes? Do they match the original?

What is the problem with the evaporator?
