Anyone repaired a center console lid armrest heater?

New-to-me 2019 with armrest heaters. The driver RH armrest (that would be the left hand side of the console lid) heater isn't working. Anyone had to replace one of the heater elements in their console?

Pic of functional vs non-functional. Determination of which is which is trivial and left to the reader as an exercise.

I suspect mine had/has similar issue. When I test drove the car, it doesn't seem to be working. I mentioned to the dealer and when I picked it up, it seems to be working but is weaker than the passenger side.

Can you use your thermal camera to test out if the temp of the door and centre console heating changes when you go from level 1 to level 3 heating? Obviously the seat and seat back changes, but I am wondering if the armrest heating changes as well.

As far as I know it‘s not possible to replace one of the two heater elements. You have to order the whole unit.

No, I'm certain BMW does not support heater element replacement with service parts as you mention.

But I have no issues with removing the lid and upholstery myself to R&R the non-functional element.

I was just wondering if anyone had done it and had any tips for me before I go into it. Like it would be nice if someone had done it and had found a part number (not necessarily BMW PN) and had been able to find a replacement part on Ebay - then I'd be able to have a part ready when I tear into it, instead of potentially having to tear up the armrest then wait a month for a part from China.

sac02 any chance you tested the armrest to see if the three levels of heating change the level of heating of the armrest?

I really want to know as I feel like my driver's side is not as warm as the passenger's side. I don't think the heating levels change anything but wanted to know for certain.

Thank you in advance for your help.

Here are pics. Number of fingers equals setting for seat heater. Take note of scale and data points, don't just look at color (color range Auto-scales)

sac02 , just to be certain, this is centre console heater and not the armrest on the door, correct?

Those pics are of the door armrest, but the center console armrest follows the same trend. It was just easier/safer to get picture of the door armrest at the time.

I'm having the same problem with my driver side center armrest not heating. My CPO warranty ends in October. Based on my research it seems like this would be covered. Anyone know for certain?
