I took delivery of my car last week and so far the apple car play connection has failed on me once on the third day of ownership. I found out later that day the reason for that is because my iphone x is connected to my ipad's personal hotspot via bluetooth. While I was not able to connect to apple car play, the bmw media bluetooth connection was fine.
Since then I i turn off my personal hotspot and mobile tethering from my iphone x before using my car. I had no issue connecting to apple carplay on start up of the car after that. Oh, just to be sure, i deleted my phone profile completely and reconnect it. Works like how its supposed to so far. Might worth a try for you.  |
