So about 3 or 4 weeks ago I must have received an Android Auto software push from BMW over the air in my 2019 X5 M-Sport. I enjoy the new AA interface BUT, for some reason about a week or so ago my phone will make calls but, I cannot hear the person Im calling nor can they hear me. Its almost as though the microphone and speakers aren't getting triggered via bluetooth. I can still get access to all my apps as usual and Spotify still plays music over the speakers just as usual.

I have a Samsung GS9+ and i've even tried my girlfriend's iPhone 12 and her phone is also unable to make and receive calls on the bluetooth while my phone is disconnected. So it appears it's something related to the bluetooth but, i'm puzzled. Anybody else experience this issue?

Similar Issue yo me. Suddenly this morning the phone never connected anymore. I’ve tried all including complete removal in smartphone and car of all profiles of my device (s20+).

Did you finally fix your issue and how?

I scheduled an appt. with the dealer then the day before the appt. It started working again for some reason.

It's still glitchy with switching between car and phone. Sometimes I'll be on a call getting into the car and then it'll switch to the idrive screen but on my phone it'll say "call ended".

Wish I could say what fixed it but, it may have been an over the air update???
