We have two BMW ID's. When I pick a destination and "Send to car", it doesn't really work because my wife is the default ID in the car. It's a proper hassle to change ID's. Might as well use carplay maps!

Does anyone know if it is better that we share logins i.e. have a single BMW account? I realise that will mean shared seat positions etc.

Or should I login to My BMW as her?

I am assuming you and your spouse downloaded the "MyBMW" on each phone. I have it on mine and wife on hers, so we synch each key to each app and we have no issues. If you have done this, then I have no clue, sorry.

My understanding is you can only send the destination to your own profile.

+1 this. if the destination was sent from your app login, the vehicle will receive the destination under your driver profile in the vehicle as that is how it is saved in the cloud.

I’d like to think the developers already thought of this and decided it best executed under each profile/login… or maybe not. send them feedback via the app!

Also - if you have multiple bmw’s with your app profile these destinations will be sent to each of them once you’ve logged in. If you understand how this works, it is a pretty awesome feature cuz you can basically get into any of your BMWs and have the destinations ready for you.

But yeah, the sent destination is tied to the BMW account that is sending.
