well I get that. that has been established much earlier.
I know there are 3 options for rear seats.
1. Seats with merino / vernasca leather
2. 1 + heated rear seats
3. 1 + luxury seating package (even though it doesnt have anything in rear)

so just trying to see which type these were.

That's awful!

Com'on BMW you cannot accept this kind of quality!!!

Great choice on the color. I'm leaning towards the ivory for our next one but the wife is not quite on board yet. What color headliner did you get? If white, would you do it again or does it maybe make everything too white?

Headliner is ivory. See C-pillar trim.

Alcantara ivory headliner. Myself, I don't much care, but the wife wanted it light and airy. Would I seek out a light-colored headliner again? Definitely. Would I be willing to pay for it? That's a harder question. BMW bundles it with the Full Merino Leather, which I wasn't so happy about.

There now also seem to be comfort wrinkles on steering wheel leather. How did we ever drive with uncomfortable taught steering wheels before?!

Ditto. I have a 45e on order with black vernasca. I've already informed mu dealership that if wrinklegate appears on my order, I wont be taking it.

I wouldn't over dramatize the level of wrinkling of seats in making a decision to accept your vehicle. It should be noted there isn't even consensus on this forum if the wrinkling is intentional or not. I believe you will find the driving experience your vehicle provides will quickly overwhelm any concern about wrinkles that may or may not be present.

Whilst I appreciate the feedback.. i'm going from an F15 with no wrinklegate.
I have thoroughly enjoyed driving this vehicle and plan to enjoy the next. I just don't like the idea of spending all that money to have sloppy seats.

as someone who has had BMW accept the return of my vehicle based on wrinkles (see within this thread); its up to the individual who is parting with their hard earnt money if they wish to accept the "wrinkes" or not,

you are well within your rights to refuse the car if it isnt to your satisfaction, if more people actually made an issue out of it, BMW may very well have dealt with an issue thats lingering since 2018!

i even managed to secure a substantial refund on my replacement X5 due to the seats.

i fail to see how you think its "drama" - peoples money - peoples choice!

Bryan, your certainly within your "rights" to refuse delivery for wrinkled seats or any other reason you desire. From the pictures and comments in this forum that I've seen however I don't believe it's highly likely that your vehicle will arrive wrinkle free. You then have the opportunity to determine what is in your best interest.

As I mentioned previously "I wouldn't over dramatize the level of wrinkling....." My money, my choice.

Unacceptable. I was not aware that this is an issue and am now concerned about my week 11 build, G06 M50i Arctic Gray/Tecora Red.
I really don't want to reject the vehicle, but I will if I have to.
Can the dealer simply order replacement seats and install?

Went to pick up my car today and had excessive wrinkles. I declined to take delivery. Dealer is going to have an upholstery guy look at it and provide me some options.
