Don’t exist? Ha! The only way they LED could be more obvious is if it actually turned on!

Re "no way of coding them on" I'm guessing this may be what Almaretto was hinting at in his Laser thread posts. While hardware may be installed it appears additional methods of disabling it may be employed - FuSi. https://g05.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh...&postcount=163 which points to a discussion by lemetier. https://f80.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh...3&postcount=12 |

That's just to shut you up. I think there are mistruths being spread by corporate.

Cornering lights are working on other BMW models. Obviously BMW is stonewalling or has a major issue with the design. Could be they have incorrect wire lumes for the lights or manufacturing error. We are not going to know anything until BMW wants us to (this includes dealers). Does the X7 have working cornering lights?? That might tell us a lot.

https://f80.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh...3&postcount=12 "Coding alone isn't sufficient. There are also physical locking plugs on the headlamps as well as FSC, Functional Safety Release Checksum (FuSi), and a new pesky Geo-Fencing limitation (added via OTA)." So, could it be the same for G05's? Maybe. mnewnam's dealer reportedly confirmed the cornering light hardware exists before opening the PUMA case. The reply to his dealer was that they were disabled in the US market and couldn't be simply enabled via coding. Eagerly awaiting what Forrara's dealer PUMA response will be. The whole "disabled for the US market" thing doesn't add up - no one outside the US has been able to report G05 cornering lights working. That should be telling us something - just don't know what. As a side note overseas G05 orders (at least UK and Australia) for laser (5AZ) had delayed build slots (after March). Maybe overseas cornering lights will be working for those cars? Early build dealer cars and M50d's had/have 5AZ but no reports of working cornering lights. |

They worked on the pre-production models! I’m almost certain they will work just fine on the ones at the dealers currently. But would be nice to confirm.

The number of frustrated and disappointed owners is growing every day. BMWNA should issue a bulletin to every dealer with the "whole truth and nothing but the truth".

Actually that kinda looks like it is on. You can see part of the plastic light cover is being illuminated a bit lower than the part being illuminated by the headlight. If that makes sense.
Is this your car? Where the turn signals on? Wheel turned? In reverse? You should see a noticeable area light up to the side of the car if the cornering light comes on.

It seems like false advertising not only with the lights but other features. They disclosed the roof availability so we knew what we were getting but when features are demonstrated online it is done to obtain buyers. i am thinking we may see a class action down the road and with the forums it is not so hard to come up with the required members.
