Congrats! Looks so sick! So perfect!

Really great job on the photos showcasing the Carbon Black.

Your X5 is like my X3's big beastly brother haha. I have a M40i with the same carbon black/gloss black theme and clean look throughout.

I truly think yours is one of the best looking SUV's on the road, love the styling touches on the X5 M Sport with carbon fiber details and beefy stance.

We have very similar taste, enjoy!

Great ride. Moving from Los Angeles to Seattle in March. Was thinking about lowering mine, but decided to keep it stock as I'll be in more weather - all we have is sun here in CA.

You'll have to tell me the best BMW dealer there...also, looking at homes and I'm surprised how few have (at least 2) garages. lol

Thank you! I really appreciate that. I had the help of a photographer, so can't take all the credit there.

We liked the X3M a lot, it was just a bit too tight for a car seat in the back for us.

Understandable. The good thing about the lowering links if you have the air suspension is that is a 20 minute job to do the whole car. And since they are adjustable I'm sure you could set it at stock height. Just replaces a plastic rod with an adjustable metal one.

You'll have to leave the city or pay a premium for garage space.

For the lowering, I set the links at the recommended lengths that are in the instructions. They are adjustable, so you could fine tune and very easy to do. I'm not sure what the overall drop is unless you can give me the stock heights to center of wheel arch and I can measure mine. I put them on the same day I picked it up, so never measured before.
Thanks for the quick reply, much appreciated. The car will be delivered in a couple of weeks with 20” winter wheels, so I’ll have a play with those first. Ps I totally get the oem+ look. Trying to achieve the same, but I would classify yours as oem++++ with those awesome m performance carbon fibre.

So thinking of getting the lower gray valance wrapped gloss black. What do you guys think?

Just the area between the bumper and diffuser/exhaust tips.

I personally think that’s a great shout or at least risk worth taking. I’m not a fan of the grey colour, especially on dark coloured cars, as it does not return anywhere else on the entire car and the contrast doesn’t add any value. Option 2 would be having it painted in the body colour.

In dutch we say you can’t argue taste, so luckily we do not all the like the same and you should stick what you or the wife like best 😁

Do spacers just push the wheels out a bit? Where did you get the blacked out emblems?

My 2014 535i was carbon black. Really enjoyed the color. This one looks better!

Question... similar X5 (CBM, etc.). I am also getting the logo repainted by RG Sport. It looks like you went with gloss black. Did you think about matte black? I am debating, I wonder if anyone has done or seen matte black for the logos?

Thanks,

Geoff
