OEM 748M All Terrain Package?

https://www.shopbmwusa.com/product/6...L-AND-TIRE-SET

Dealer says the snow tire package with the Scorpion Winters is on back order. He has these Grabber ATs in house and will sell same price as aforementioned.

Anyone using them? Or otherwise comment on how they should perform in cold weather and snow vs the Scorpions?

As far as the look, I’m kinda torn between thinking they look badass vs thinking they are a bit out of place on a “luxury” vehicle I don’t plan on taking Muddin’ (as we call it in the Appalachians lol!)

Well, I’ll be the Guinea Pig then! Dealer is going to install for discount price so I’ll report back with pics and thoughts.
I actually went to look at them on display at dealer and they are really nice looking in person so I’m leaning more now to the bad ass factor.

They're equipped on a couple of the G05 delivery center vehicles and my one of my press vehicle was equipped with ZOR Off-road package and 748 - great traction on and off-road, wet, snow and not noisy.

I’m actually quite fond of these and asked my SA if he could get them for me at a discount. I’m in NoVA and I’ve never had to deal with summer/winter tires before. I found these to be a good solution for several months of the year. I’m still waiting to hear from my dealer on when my 45e will arrive and there has been no discussion on the winter set. I do think they are badass looking!

I’m convinced now they truly are badass! Dealer knocked $300 off for me. Still expenses for 3 months a year use, but glad I did it now instead of some other cheaper aftermarket solutions I was considering. Which by the way was very few as everyone seemed to be out of stock on a lot.

Wow, looks awesome. I’m super leaning toward those and hope my dealer can get me a great deal on them.

How are the General Grabber tyres when used not in the snow for example UK weather where it's a mix?

Are they only suited for roads that are covered in snow for weeks/months at a time or good for all-round winter use?

560 AA and they ride quite well - all season tire versatility with off-road capabilities when you need it.

As a caveat, I come from driving trucks with lifts and oversized KO2s so my bar is not set high. However I am impressed with how smooth and quiet they are on dry pavement. My brother who owns an Audi Q7 drove it and came to same conclusion. So for what it’s worth, that’s an anecdotal thumbs up for them!

OP...never thought I'd see Grabbers on a BMW, but I must say they don't look terrible. I too come from trucks (and currently own one); however, I'm biased and only run Ridge Grapplers on mine.

Anyhow, nice job! Actually (quite surprisingly), this looks good!

Thanks! Believe me, I wrestled with the decision while my X5 was on order. But a second trip to the dealer to see them in person and a discount offered, I took it. Honestly if the regular winter tire package was available I probably would have done that, but ultimately I’m satisfied with my decision now and have a bit of unique setup I guess.

These look great - I just put them on mine and love the looks and drive (though now I have to buy a aftermarket spare I guess)

Up for sale on Classifieds - very lightly used and mint condition. Bought a 4x4 truck and don't need them - plus likely trading in on a M5!
