iDrive 7 Profile Creation With No Connection

I'm on 11/2020.45 and the only two options offered to me in the profile section are:

1- log in to my connected drive account
2- create a new user

For both options, I need my car to be connected to the ConnectedDrive services which isn't possible as I'm currently located in a region where it's not active.

It seems like I'm doomed to stay with the guest profile not being able to setup some preferences like automated habits or windows, etc.

Does anyone have a workaround to be able to create a profile or, even better, get connected to my ConnectedDrive account (I do have one).

I had the same problem that I can not create a driver profile without logging to connected drive account.
I did not have Apple Carplay also.

So, I purchased Apple Carplay from a website and after they have activated Apple Carplay, I can create a driver profile locally without connected drive account.

It is possible through Coding and I think it needs to change the country/region of the car.

I do not have any other tutorials.

Could you please refer us to the website you dealt with to activate CarPlay. I have the same issue since 2019.

I was able to create a profile after doing a reset of the car. The downside is that I lost CarPlay (which the dealer kindly reactivated).... so if you do have CarPlay working but not able to create a profile, you're probably better off with status quo

That's my current status, I do have CarPlay functioning but I really want to try creating a driver profile to at least be able to save settings locally
