He doesn't have quite the A-speed.

I always envision that when Lukaku unlaces his boots, it's a big event. His puppies are TIRED, that body weight POUNDING on the pitch for 90 minutes. Melt that ice bath.

Not the same feeling with Adama.

Haha, yeah. I'll take Lukaku though as I'm pretty sure you would too.

Lol but isn't Ronaldo about 10 years older than Lukaku? Besides, I think he's a better fit for Chelsea in terms of what they really needed including his style of play. Can't wait until they play each other!

Well, we'll see how well all those guys at Man U play together. UncleWede mentioned the other day how they have a bit of history with not gelling. Anyway, exciting times in the EPL!

Oh and on a side note, the USMNT plays El Salvador tonight, a WC qualifier. They better win that one!! Unfortunately Pulisic isn't playing.

I almost got the impression you were comparing Ronaldo with Lukaku . He's aged very well so watch out. But yes Chelsea has a very good squad.

Hey you never know. Maybe Lukaku will score another 500 goals or so in his next 10 years. Lol. But seriously, I think his style fits well for them because it's a completely different dimension they didn't have. Someone that can play with his back to the goal and control the ball and dish it off for an assist if he doesn't score for himself. They sure as hell weren't getting that sort of play from anyone else. I do like seeing Havertz coming along nicely though. I think Timo will have little playing time this season.

We haven't even been talking about Tottenham. Now that Kane is staying put they could be very dangerous but we shall see. They seem invigorated with the new manager.

Tottenham lol. They started well but they'll be in 6 place tops. New manager bounce won't sustain them the whole season. Won't be above Leceister i reckon.

even as a spurs fan, i unfortunately must agree with you. unless they get some help in the midfield, or can develop a really strong counter-attack, i just dont see them scoring with much frequency. that said, their defense is legit so they should have a chance in every match.

Arsenal all the way!

Really tough times now. Don't think Arteta is cutting it, roster isn't up to the par with the big boys. But I have faith and in it for the long haul.

he's already gone. spurs terminated his contract...basically couldnt give him away for pennies on the dollar.

i think he had plenty of talent, but was a bit of a headcase who just made too many errors. he hadnt been in the regular rotation for sometime, so i just dont think he's that big of a loss.

tanganga has had a great start to the season. doherty is serviceable. and the club just picked up emerson royal on transfer from barca. they should be better in that position this season without aurier in the mix.

Arteta will be gone before the new year! Arsenal spent the most this transfer window and cannot score, I had big hopes for them when Lacazette and aubameyang came in but still feel they are not a cohesive unit, even with all the talent on paper

This just goes to show how important a manager is. Even having a totally stacked roster doesn't guarantee victories. You have to be able to balance and manage all of the mega egos on board and then put together a formation and strategy that put points in the win column.

Frank who? It's all about Thomas.

In all seriousness, Chelsea is a perfect example as you can see. I'm certainly not complaining. Lol.

Yeah I assume you saw the fiasco down in Brazil with Argentina. Lol. Idiot Argentines thought they could get away with playing knowing full well Brazil had strict rules about those coming from the UK.

Then you have idiot Americans like Weston McKennie who let his team down as the USMNT can use all the help they can get. As an American I care but others probably not so much. Lol. Apparently he had been reprimanded once before by his club team Juventus. Shows very poor character.

Wow, a lot more involving than I thought. Unfortunate about Thiago Silva but I have confidence they'll be okay in the back even if he can't play against Aston Villa.
