Haha....19s. You're right most aren't spec'd with them.
You got to find an X-line car and there is only one style available (style 734).

OEM 19 inch wheels
For winter driving in Michigan I remove the 19 inch OEM wheels. They are replaced with 18 inch OEM wheels which provides a taller tire sidewall to absorb winter potholes. This substitution works with the larger trailer tow brakes but does not work an any of the M line vehicles.

18 inch OEM wheels
The BMW part number for the 18 inch wheel is 6880684, the style number is 618. It is eight and half inches wide. I purchased the wheels, center caps, tire pressure sensors and Nokian WR AR M&S wet grip B which are non run flat from BMW under BMW part number 36-11-2-462-590. They ride smoother than the Bridgestone run flat 19 inch tire but they make a little more noise. The Nokian size is 255/55 R18 so just a tad shorter than the Bridgestone 265/50 R19. I just completed a trip from Traverse City to Minneapolis, to Duluth, to Marquette, to Traverse City and am quite pleased. The roads here are a mess, pardon the filthy X5. You will find the pricing on the smaller wheel and tires much more attractive!

I live in central Texas and thinking about exploring west Texas and the badlands / mountains of NM and Colorado. So I'm contemplating moving to a non RF All Terrain. Would moving to an 18" make sense? It seems All Terrains aren't made in 19". I'm wrestling with the trade offs between RFs with an emergency spare and having to get a full size spare along with 5 new wheels. Any comments/ suggestions? I have since found 19" ATs. I'll be moving from 265/50R19 RF to 255/55R19 Falken Wildpeak AT Trail tires. I'm planning to store the RFs to see if I can remount them on my OEM rims after playing in the desert and mountains this spring. I expect I'll see better mileage out of the RFs when I'm back to just highway driving. |

I ordered the spare with my purchase because I cover a lot of remote territory. It will work with the 19s or the 18s since they very close in height. Eventually when the 19 Bridgestone run flats wear out I will replace them with non run flats. I am in an unusual situation since the X5 is my off season vehicle. I have a BMW motorcycle and Mustang GT for decent weather, but the winters are long in Northern Michigan. At one time BMW sold the 18s with General ATs. Be cautious with any new purchase your 45e weighs considerable more than my xdrive40i .

Rim and tire questions on my 2022 X5 xDrive40i.
I currently have the black 22" "M" rims, 315/30 rear and 275/35 front. Continental PremiumContact 6 tires. My salesman said I can go as small as a 19" rim and that I can put 275's all around (easier to get snow rated tires in the one size I reckon). These are the rim sizes (I think) 9.5Jx22 ET37 & 10.5Jx22 ET43. Any good sources for cheap-ish OEM rims? If they're clean, I'd even go for slightly used. What would be a good all-weather/winter tire? |

Any real difference between an extra 1" of tire vs an extra 1-½" of tire?
Is there a guide anywhere with all the OEM #'s for rims that will fit a 2022 X5? And, does the speedo take the mph from the front or rear wheels? |

That makes for a 275/45R20 for winter. +0.3% over the current front tires (275/35R22) & +1.0% over the current rear tires (315/20R22). |
