The Alex on Autos review is up.
Another review is up. I like his reviews but he's quite pragmatic in his viewpoint and I didn't expect him to like what was on offer. I was wrong; I could see he liked the car and gave it better ratings than I expected.

Excellent sharing of techical information. Interesting statement that BMW is saying it's slower than the Pre-LCI (this maybe common knowledge, but I have not heard that from BMW). Also, interesting that he stated that in his test it was 1/10th of a second faster than Pre-LCI, completely opposite from a previous posted review. Thanks for sharing, actually enjoyed listening, even tho I do not have an LCI.

Based on the crappy BMW Individual site,it looks like it might be Boston Green Metallic but IDK
As for the 1/10 of a second faster/slower that could easily be a difference in DA,traction, driver, etc or simply a variation between vehicles due to manufacturing,break-in etc...way too many scenarios to draw a solid conclusion IMO

I think he was referring to some reviews saying it's slower. I don't think that's been shown; both before and after the update 3.5 seems to be about the average. Alex went 3.6 on wet roads and I've no problem imagining a dry road takes a tick off of that.
To me being realistic you've got a porker that got heavier with electrification, but gained a tiny bit of power and shorter gears to (somewhat) make up for it. You're then comparing a before and after in a very brief performance metric in which both are partially traction limited. On the face of it I wouldn't expect much of any difference, and that's what seems to be the case with YouTuber runs. |
