stopped by the Benz to have a testdrive at the new '08 C300
I don't see anything special about this car. I know they are millions of threads on this but after getting the brochure, i wonder what incentive this car has to offer over the 3 series.
They don't offer Park distance, Keyless Go (their version of comfort access), or active cruise control.  The only thing i liked was their COMAND, which hides away when you don't need it, unlike ours where if you turn off the screen, the backlight is still on. Performance wise, the car can not remotely compare.

you tested a c300.. not a c350 sport? that's probably why you can't really compare it..
plus this C class is such a downgrade from the pervious generation because of the interior layout. it's all going downhill.

Mercedes suck until you pay an insane amount of money for an AMG version. Usually by that point you can buy a better car for the money.
Obviously I can't talk about spending money wisely (I just bought a brand new BMW for god's sake) but I think Mercedes are just a huge waste of cash. |

I think the new interior does look cheaper but the exterior is sweet though!
