New X5M, itching to do some mods...

Hi everybody! Recently bought a new X5M and really happy with it so far. I’ve had a few M5’s in the past and am 18 X5M but now I’m back in a 24. It’s carbon black with light silver stone interior. I had it “stealth” wrapped, which is a first for me. I was a little apprehensive but I’m extremely happy with how it came out. Also had the windows and side markers tinted while it was there, 20% all around except the windshield.
My only gripes would be that it needs to be lowered and needs an exhaust…in the past on my M5’s I always went with Eiseenn, has anyone done one on one if the newer X5’s? And for lowering what’s the consensus? It’s been a long time since I’ve done mods like this so I’m looking for some advice from the group.

Thanks!

You know it’s funny I never even thought of changing the pads…coming from a 21 Cayenne turbo I guess I’ve just gotten used to the dust and the squealing lol!

congrats! I don't have squealing (yet) but dust I've got in abundance. I just got mine recently too and the pads are right at the top of my list.

Garage List
+1 for MSS lowering springs. Just had mine done recently to eliminate the 4x4 look of the OEM setup.

Exhaust is a bit harder because sound is very subjective so it will depend on what you’re looking for. Loud and obnoxious (intake, downpipes, x-pipe, choose your muffler) or a moderate increase in rumble (secondaries and a muffler).

Akrapovic, Eisenmann, FI, Dinan are probably the main exhaust choices I’ve seen.

+1 on iSweep brake pads.
I am sure your brakes are squicking by now, and your service advisor already told you that it's normal

I considered MSS but went with KW HAS instead and was very happy with the result.

Good luck!

Changed those dusty pads so quick on my second m8 and x6m. r33_RGSport sent them to my installer before my rides were even delivered.

We have just introduced our exhaust suite for the LCI F95/95 Platform. A very happy owner is running the first setup in the whole world right here in Tennessee.
The suite is a catback system with active valves that operate using our provided fobs.
Sounds clips are on our Instagram page (tritonmotorsports)

You can DM us here or email us info@tritonmotorsportsusa.com and we’ll be happy to take care of you.
