03/2021 idrive 7 without carplay or Android auto

Hello
I just went to the dealer today
my car had carplay only before visiting the dealer
it's a g05 2019 Canadian vehicle which is imported to Middle East

dealer told me that our area does not have carplay neither Android auto
so after my car got serviced I got a boring car with no carplay or Android auto

is there any way to get ANDROID AUTO and Apple carplay activated ?

as I know carplay sometimes needs coding, how about Android auto ?

If you had it before, your car is equipped you will need to find someone who can program it I think. Unless its subscription based.

didn't bmw say that we no longer need to subscribe ?

Does your country have andriod auto? Tbh probably a bit above my pay grade.

android auto requires updated software to work... if you have carplay activated then it should just be a simple software upgrade in theory. Do you know the software version you are running?

Hi my dealer just did the same, now my car no longer have CarPlay, can you explain how you retrieved it back from bimmercode ?
