19” wheels on X5 xDrive40i with M sport?

About to order a 2023 X5 xDrive40i with M-sport package...question is will the standard 19” wheels (style 734) fit? I have seen posts saying both yes and no...

If you get the M-sport brakes, I believe the discs are bigger. Not sure if this would be an issue fitting a 19-inch wheel.

19" wheels will fit standard brakes. They will not clear optional m-sport brakes. These brakes are not standard on an m-sport but are an upgrade. I would absolutely get them, as they make an astonishing value and look beautiful, while the standard brakes just look sad.

Thank you, this was what I suspected but appreciate the confirmation.

I am not sure this correct. I recall seeing multiple posts with photos showing that 19in wheels work with the sport brakes. I don’t have these colored brakes but my x45e calipers should be same size despite the rotors being smaller. No issue with fit. If I recall correctly, sport brakes were also an option without the need to upgrade to 20in wheel when I ordered the car.

Well... I stand corrected. The 19s will clear the sport brakes.

You are partially correct. Recently, I was shopping for 20 inch wheels for my X6 with m sport brakes. Some of the wheels I had short listed did not have enough clearance. I'd guess very few 19 inch wheels would fit sport brakes. A tire shop should be able to confirm the fit for a specific wheel.

Main recommendation is to stay with OEM wheels designed for the X5 if going with 19in wheels (734 or 735 styles)
