It used to be that you had to be a member for a year in good standing to get this, but they recently changed this.

As of now, you can sign up for a 3 year membership ($134) here https://www.bmwcca.org/rebate-update before you buy a new X5 (or up to 15 days after you purchase it) and then fill out the rebate form here https://www.bmwcca.org/vehicle_rebate and you will receive a check for $1000.

So you ultimately save an additional $866 and join the club, get a mug I think they are giving out for 3 year members and you get a great magazine each month and access to great club events and specials.
Thanks for the info.
Just placed order today with dealer, will sign up tonight

I'm about to register and notice the same:

Shopping Cart Contents
Item Description Subtotal
BMW Car Club of America - 3 Years (01/01/2019-12/31/2021) $134.00
Golden Gate Chapter - 3 Years (01/01/2019-12/31/2021) $0.00
PROMO OFFER - Free Grille Badge (+ shipping & handling) $3.50

But I guess we are ok, since it emphasizes on purchase date.

I sent my rebate forms in by email. I kept checking my status and it said they recieved paperwork and were working on it but in the details it was giving me a bunch of errors. I actually had to fill out all the rebate forms over again online even though I had emailed all the forms. Once I did that the details now say "BMW CCA Admin Review ". Hopefully it works out. I wish I would have known about this in July when I purchased my 540i, missed out on some money.

Log back in and look under "manage account". Mine is correctly displaying join date of 12/2/18 this morning. Must be a glitch.

I have done it many times since 2007 when I first joined and typically it has been in the 8 weeks or so but I think they say up to 12 - depends on how many they are getting.

In Canada it’s 2% off purchase price and applied directly to sale.

I signed up for 1 year, must it be 3? Also does it apply to leasing or just buying?

Has to be a minimum 3 year subscription and it does apply to purchase or lease.

I was all over this. This was a no-brainer. I don’t care if it takes a year to get my rebate. I also like to support my local club as I am a officer in my PCA club. Thank you.

Don't know if this is new or not, when I went to originally look at this offer, you had to print/fill out the paper form and either mail in your rebate info or scan/email it in. When I went to get the rebate document yesterday, the entire rebate could be entered via online forms, which allows you to upload supporting documents (copies of your bill of sale and odometer statement). Clicking on the "application" link now takes you through the online process. Took about 5 minutes and provides immediate status/tracking. Good stuff.

I submitted my forms electronically on Dec. 14th and it is now showing as "approved by CCA" so I guess now the check should be in the mail in the next few weeks or month.

I thought mine was close to that date, but I still show as "pending". It shows that I am eligible and submitted all the appropriate documents.

So, on 2019 X5, better of to join BMWCCA, than use USAA - right?

I did both - was already a member of USAA. USAA gives you a voucher that you give to your CA. Comes right off the negotiated price.

It appears you can do both these days - for some reason only before July 5th you could not combine this with the USAA rebate, but says nothing else than below, so seems both can be applied.

Vehicles purchased/leased prior to 7/5/18 cannot combine this program with USAA, Military, Diplomatic, and Corporate Fleet rebate programs.

Thank you so much for posting this information. I let my BMWCCA member ship lapse a few years ago and never renewed it.

I saw this post a week go and renewed my membership for 3-years and placed my X5 order last Saturday.

I have seen projections on when the rebates might show up, but I am unclear about how long it takes to go from pending to approved.

Is this cycle (for approval) 2 to 3 or 4 weeks?
