$1k CCA rebate worth being a cosigner?
Long story short is that my wife hasn't been a CCA member for long enough to get the rebate. I can cosign the bank loan so I appear on all the paperwork to get the rebate. My wife and I are both working professionals, both excellent credit, both make significant incomes. $1k won't be meaningful in the big picture. I'm a very thrifty person and think we should go for the $1k rebate even though I don't want to take the credit hit, be on the loan, or the title. She doesn't want me to be on the loan, documents or title. She's independent and she likes the way it makes her feel. I think I just answered my own question, but I'll continue with the poll.

As for credit hit or load, I think it depends on where you are. In here CA, husband and wife are responsible for each other. If one side get a credit hit, the other side will be affected either way.
