X6M Comp Marina Bay Blue and Tanzanite Blue II owners post your photos
I have finally narrowed down to these 2 colors. Marina Bay Blue and Tanzanite Blue II for my x6m comp. Interior will be Sakhir orange.
I cant seem to chose between these 2 as they both seem gorgeous. Marina Bay Blue is more flashy and will look blue even when dusty/dirty where as Tanzanite Blue II seems more sleek and gentlemanish but I feel it might only look good after a carwash or when its a sunny day and if its dirty then the color might look blackish. To those who have both post photos and help me make this decision. Thanks in advance! |

it all about personal taste. I am more into dark colors, MBB is awesome color, but I preferred to go Tanzanite. Though as you said tanzanite needs to be clean to sparkle otherwise it is a dark blue, which is ok for my liking. In fact in my case, I was between carbon black and tanzanite
I am attaching sun vs shade to get an idea Also one MBB VS TANZ side by side (cloudy day) |

I don't own either, but am in the market myself. I've swung by my dealer a couple times, in full sun days and cloudy overcast days, to peruse the lot which had both TBII and MBB (in other models, not X5M/X6M).
My thoughts: TBII: Beautiful color, but dark. It of course sparkles and shines when hit with full sun, but otherwise it's a dark blue, almost blackish actually in dim or low light, or at night. I'd say it's similar to Carbon Black. CB can look very blue in the bright full sun. CB probably leans more black in the black/blue mixture of flakes, while TBII probably leans more blue in the black/blue mixture of flakes, but will quickly "fade to black" in certain lighting conditions. MBB: "Holy Crap that's Blue!" This color will appear Blue in ANY lighting. In the full day sun it can appear almost electric blue it's so bright. But even at night under dim lights it'll still show blue. Beautiful color, perhaps a little more showy or "look at me" kind of color when it's on such a big vehicle, but beautiful. I'm sure others can give thoughts but that's my 2 cents, and probably worth half as much. |

I have the MBB on my M8 and it's gorgeous. I'm not one for colours that are too loud, but this remains on the right side of being over the top.
It is the loudest colour I have had and I have zero regrets. Still looks great well after a clean, which the TB won't. |

MBB is loud and gets attention everywhere regardless of the weather. This can be a pro or con depending on the person.
TANZ is beautiful and show its uniqueness only when the sun is out. In the shade or at night it looks almost black. At night it looks very similar to BMWs carbon black which was a popular standard color. Typically darker colors are harder to maintain but I find even MBB requiring a good amount of work to look good because it’s so bright it shows imperfections and dirt easily. Alan |

Anyways, I was looking for something dark like carbon black initially, but then found TBII to be the best compromise between CB and MBB. looks classy as well

My MBB X5M. It's my favorite blue out of any car manufacturer at the moment. The M pulls it off perfectly with its aggressive body lines. I've seen it on the X7 recently and honestly don't think it suits that car.

Similar to other posts, not an X6 nor M car, just an opportunity to view TBII in different lighting. I never expected this, but do get quite a few compliments on the color.
Overcast - dark blue with a smidge of sparkle Sunny - lighter with high metallic effect I really wanted MBB however, it wasn't available on the M50i without paying an additional $5k. In the end, I'm extremely satisfied with TBII. |

I regret getting tanzanite blue II. Sure it looks great in just the right light, but most of the time it's a dull drab boring color. I see MBB on cars and I just lust at what could of been.
I'd go Avus or Interlagos blue as well if I could do it over.

Mine has been durable so far (Aug 22) and I never take it to an automated car wash or anything like that. I Anticipated the plastic painted parts to scratch first yet nothing noticeable yet.
