Do you get any error messages or warnings on the dash when you program it?

Only after programming is complete. The normal chassis error message.

Before you code remember to do this step:

Turn on the ignition in the car or start diagnostic mode in G Series cars (press the start button in the car three times in quick succession without pushing the brake or clutch pedal).

I used this one.
Veepeak OBDCheck BLE OBD2 Bluetooth Scanner Auto OBD II Diagnostic Tool Compatible with iOS & Android, Bluetooth 4.0 Car Check Engine Light Code Reade https://www.amazon.com/dp/B073XKQQQW..._j46Zp3A3INbmZ

The configurable settings are extremely limited. I think start stop is the only thing that can be changed right now. No doubt that more options will be available in time

It worked!! Used my Veepeak adapter with an iPhone. No issues at all. Put the car in diagnostic mode as suggested (3 quick presses of the start button without foot on brake).

Hi, where is this conector exactly located? Under steering wheel? Do I have to remove any part to get to it?

It's on the underside of the dash on the left side down by the dead pedal / footrest. Nothing to remove. If you stick your head down there you can see it.

Is coding still limited to certain OBD2 adapters? I have the Kiwi adapter.

Has anyone been able to test the "Black panel instrument cluster coding"? if so, what does it allow you to change/add/remove/code?

The only coding option available on the G05 right now is the Start/Stop feature. Hopefully more will be available soon.

Same for me I got the UniCarScan in the mail yesterday, and it failed to load the Engine Control Unit module (the car was in debug mode).
FWIW the most recent bimmercode app update solved my issues quoted above from last week. I can now code to remember Auto Start/Start setting after turning the car off.
