For example, my wife could not care less about cars, hates my car habit and thinks premium cars are a complete waste. She gets into the m50 with exec package and says - I like the shifter - go figure! Point being, it’s a piece of bling that I don’t think is in your face tacky but to my surprise makes things look nicer than I would have thought..
I would agree. We bought my wife's CPO and I was more about mileage and overall condition as it was her car and the color combo she wanted. It happened to have the executive package and I find it awesome. I wouldn't necessarily let its omission make me pass on a good deal but it is a nice touch, IMHO.

Me? I would not want to order one...the depreciation is huge. Mine for example...original owner paid over $130K May 2023...I paid under $99K Nov 2023...with X5 having a bit over 2K miles. So, they are out there, just have to take a deep breath and keep on looking. Having said all that, nothing against those who want to order...of course.

Nearly 25% depreciation in your favor for taking a car with 2000 miles. That is an amazing pick up. I’m not seeing cars priced that way typically. Did you have to haggle a lot of was this around the price the car was listed at?

The haggling was on the trade -- 2019 BMW X3 M40i (22K miles) which the dealer low-balled. Eventually we came to an agreement and sale was completed. BTW, the dealer sold the trade for $8K more than what they gave me...which is expected.

It never ceases to amaze me what dealers offer on the trade in. Let me get this straight I’m gonna buy your used car at a 10k spread - and you’re gonna try to make 10k on my trade? 20k profit opportunity with 50% realized when you buy their car… shouldn’t we the consumer get more value for bringing a car to the table!! (Yes I know the dealer is taking the risk.., but the payment they ask for to take that risk is absurd)

I’d keep your m60i order. Plenty of power when you want it, but is’nt too aggressive or costly as the Mcomp. It’s a great vehicle. These m60i’s are hard to find around here. I got lucky and found one online that just got to a dealor in Houston (6 hour drive) and I made an electronic down payment the same day or it would have been sold before I could get there over the weekend. Yes, it’s a lot of money, although I was in a position to pay cash. But, I don’t have motorcycles, boats, RV’s or other expensive toys. However, I like a nice vehicle and did not want to buy a used one that could have been abused.

Thanks for getting me over the edge. Gulp. It’s hard when I drive my 2014 turbo diesel home - get 30mpg and it’s fast w 720 miles of range. Easy to use buttons. Even has Apple CarPlay - that I’d take the shitty $12k that BMW is giving me on the trade make me vasilate daily.
