45e shut off rear (trunk) cigarette lighter while charging

Hi folks,

I have a dash cam which I've wired to the rear (trunk) cig lighter. I want to shut it off while the 45e charges and was wondering if anyone here have succeeded in doing this! I'd rather not having to shut off the cam when I get home and switch it on when I leave.

Double-check, as after a delay, it seems all of the 12vdc sockets get turned off eventually when the vehicle is off. I think it's around 10-minutes or so, about the same time the radio would turn off if you were sitting inside after you shut it off.
